From Trail's End to New Wineskins; Confessions from a 'Crusty Old Starseed'

by Blue Evening Star

This article isn't for everyone. It isn't for first-light souls (a concept from The Cosmic Family, Volume I) whose issues and challenges are different from those of a crusty old starseed like me.

There are nearly seven billion people on the planet today. The majority of these people are first-light souls. But one hundred and seventy million adults, and many millions of children, are from various orders of starseed which have experienced previous lives, not only on this planet but on other planets within the far-flung universes of time and space.

Here is a little questionnaire to help you determine if you are a starseed. Those of us who are fallen fourth-order starseed will most likely answer yes to all or most of these questions. (Read about the fall of souls in the Lucifer Rebellion in The Cosmic Family, Volume I.)

  1. Did you “outgrow” one or both of your parents by the time you were six or seven years old?
  2. Do you have a problem with authority in any form?
  3. Have you spent years feeling unfulfilled, knowing you have great talent in some areas but unable to manifest your living by tapping into this talent?
  4. Do you remember a world in harmony? Can you clearly envision a world where people, leaders, and families are thriving in functional and sustainable relationships with everything and everyone?
  5. Do you resonate with some other cultures to the degree that it is as if you have actually lived in them?
  6. Do you sometimes feel like you have reached the “end of the trail?”

I myself answer yes to all of the above questions. I especially admit to experiencing that “end of the trail” desperation in regards to my walk with Native American spirituality and in my work in the arena of political/environmental activism.

One day I had a discussion with the owner of a local esoteric and metaphysical store who knew I was a member of Aquarian Concepts Community. He asked me this question. “Are you people political? I know you are spiritual, but are you political too?” He went on to share that he had been considering becoming political because his spiritual consciousness seemed to convict him that this is a necessary part of every spiritual person's path these days, given the extreme situation on the planet.

The store owner told me a story about his youth in Iowa. It was about an Iowan Senator named Harold Hughes who was a charismatic, peace-seeking, and dynamic political leader and activist. Senator Hughes was a tremendous inspiration to him, who at one point in his formative years was seriously considering following in the Senator's footsteps by devoting his life to work within the system of politics for peace, social service, and environmentally intelligent government.

It surprised everyone, and had a profound effect on him when Senator Hughes rather than seeking reelection, retired from the Senate when his term was completed. He announced at a press conference on September 5, 1973, “Rightly or wrongly, I believe that I can move more people through a spiritual approach more effectively than I have been able to achieve through the political approach.”

As a result of this and many other soul-searching factors, the store owner decided to enter a monastery, where he stayed for fifteen years. He told me he felt he needed to heal his heart before he tackled any kind of political activism.

I too have struggled with knowing where best to put my talents and energies for the purpose of planetary healing. I have busted my butt in activism, as anyone who has been an activist knows is the case when you are an idealist with minimal resources coming against the seemingly inexhaustible and diabolical machine of the “system.”

In 1989 I got the strong hit to drop out of the activist scene. It came to my understanding that the greed machine was going to get really nasty towards all activists and that my energy would be better spent on personal spiritual work while awaiting a global level assignment in God's plan for getting this planet out of the fix that the Lucifer Rebellion has got us into. I soon found myself encountering Gabriel of Sedona and Niánn Emerson Chase of Aquarian Concepts Community.

I recognized that the Continuing Fifth Epochal Revelation, being actualized through Aquarian Concepts Community, holds a vision for planetary healing that I could believe in. It is a vision which allows me to integrate my personal commitment to global change with my personal need to heal my heart and soul, so that I can meet my full destiny as a cosmic reservist. Here is the definition of the Cosmic Reserve Corp:

“A group of ovan souls (souls who have survived the initial experience of planetary existence and attained higher levels of being) on Urantia (Earth) who function under the guidance of various entities, such as midwayers and seraphim, to bring cosmic consciousness to the planet.”

The training I am receiving, as a cosmic reservist in Aquarian Concepts Community, affords me an almost continuous experiential healing process that can be accurately expressed as moving from the end of the trail in my soul to the new wineskins of healthy relationships with God and my family and the world. It is the toughest and most rewarding training I know of.

The month of April 2004 has been, for me, full of dramatic moments of witnessing people making the transition from the “end of the trail” to “new wineskins.” In the words of Jesus:

“Be reminded that a wise tailor does not sew a piece of new and unshrunk cloth upon an old garment, lest, when it is wet, it shrink and produce a worse rent. Neither do men put new wine into old wineskins, lest the new wine burst the skins so that both the wine and the skins perish. Therefore do my disciples show wisdom in that they do not bring too much of the old order over into the new teaching of the gospel of the kingdom.” (The URANTIA Book, p. 1655)

New wineskins were made during a high energy night at Future Studios in Sedona with Dennis Banks (co-founder of AIM—the American Indian Movement) and friends on Saturday, April 17. Whenever I am with the good people of the American Indian Movement, or others who are embodying the renaissance of Native American cultures, I experience a sense of nostalgia for something so beautifully familiar to me. I also experience the awareness that there is a part of that nostalgia which pulls me back towards the old ways that can only be viable and “grow corn” by embracing new concepts that can serve the needs of the people of the future. This is exactly the vision of Gabriel of Urantia as expressed in the concept of Spiritualution*.

I traveled to Phoenix on Wednesday, April 21, with a van full of high school students from the Starseed and Urantian Schools of Melchizedek for Children and Teens, and a couple of students from Red Rock High School. We met with state legislators and a top aide to the Governor about the youth's concerns for legislation to be passed in Arizona that is environmentally sustainable, particularly in the area of water.

We met several powerhouses in state government who understood and agreed with all the points made by the “Youth Coalition for Sustainability.” These were all good and effective people who are putting forth heroic efforts to change the system from within. It is my opinion that, although our system of government began with a vision that emphasized the importance of leaders whose primary responsibility is to serve the people, we have moved far away from that vision—not only in this country but wherever the greedy and powerful hold sway over natural and human resources in the world.

To my eyes, good people all over the world are spinning their wheels by pouring all their efforts into changing the system from within. I do not believe it can be done. It is like plugging holes and scrubbing decks in a sinking ship. It is going to take enough of these good people to abandon the sinking ship, with its rotten-to-the-core infrastructure, and jump onto the lifeboat of Divine Administration. A bold claim! But I would think that anyone who has personal experience with just how rotten the old system is would hope and pray that it is true!

It is fascinating to me that one of the manifestations of the Spiritualution I have witnessed in the month of April is that it is the Native American people who have been the first to publicly recognize that there is an area of protection being established in Sedona, Arizona. At some level there is a beginning awareness that this is made possible by the spiritual ascension and lifetimes of effort of Gabriel of Sedona and Niánn Emerson Chase.

The culminating event which best embodied “new wineskins” for me was the Earth Sustainability Day event held at Avalon Gardens on Saturday, April 24. The event was hosted by Aquarian Concepts Community, with many diverse participants from all over north and central Arizona. With an emphasis on creative solutions, the First Annual Earth Sustainability Day was a fun and successful day of community-building and hope for the future, with participation by people who are wide awake to the problems we face in the present.

Perhaps an even greater example of new wineskins comes to mind in the blessed recent events (Sunday, April 11 and Monday, April 26), of two baby girls born into the Divine New Order Community of Aquarian Concepts.

They will grow up knowing what order of soul they are. They will grow up in the garden, and will be blessed with access to tools and facilities to bring out their God-given talents. They will grow up under the eldership of nine (or more) who are souls of great spiritual stature and stability and will be surrounded by a growing number of people from all walks of life who are forming a truly cosmic and planetary culture. They will learn to trust and feel safe and secure in true godly eldership. Authority will not be a dirty word but a blessed word.

If they are first-light souls, they will have an understanding of what that is. If they are starseed, they will have the opportunity to heal and grow spiritually.

The new children will thrive and grow in the new wineskin. I know because I see it happening all around me. They will not have to go through the conditioning of growing up in the fallen system.

There is hope for those of us who have—through our own prideful choices over lifetimes or through simply paying the price of growing up in a rebellious world—the need to heal the old order within us and ascend into a new and higher way of living on this planet.
For many, the positive changes come from taking baby steps. Not everyone is an old starseed at the end of the trail, although the planet as a whole does seem to be nearing the end of the trail. Every drop of planetary cooperation adds to the future waters of Light and Life.

*Spiritualution™: A movement of millions inspired by Divine Administration. True revolution is the spiritual fusion of the heart/earth/star knowledge teachings of the old ways of the ancestors with the latest revelatory cosmic teachings of ascension science and the physics of rebellion in Continuing Fifth Epochal Revelation as revealed in The Cosmic Family volumes. It is the realization by five hundred million starseed, who have not been able to fit into the present system, that they have lived before and know that they have a point of origin from another universe.
