The Art of Juggling

by Delpheus

In life we juggle many a ball.
It helps us to grow up straight and tall.
But sometimes we don’t catch them all,
and one or more come to a fall.
I can be so busy with my own juggle,
that I don’t notice how you struggle,
and instead of trying to catch the ball you drop
I allow it to come to a stubborn stop.
I complain about your shortage of reliability,
while failing to see my own lack of responsibility.
Wouldn’t this juggling game just work fine,
if now and then I caught your ball
and you caught mine?
